Behind the doors also and the posts hast thou set up thy remembrance: for thou hast discovered thyself to another than me, and art gone up; thou hast enlarged thy bed, and made thee a covenant with them; thou lovedst their bed where thou sawest it.
He said to me, “Son of man, now
dig through the wall.” So I dug through the wall, and behold, an entrance.
So she increased her harlotries. And she saw men
portrayed on the wall, images of the Chaldeans portrayed with vermilion,
You adulteress wife, who takes strangers instead of her husband!
Made thee a covenant with them
You built yourself a high place at the top of
every street and made your beauty abominable, and you spread your legs to every passer-by to multiply your harlotry.
“Son of man, there were
two women, the daughters of one mother;
You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
