Thus saith the LORD; Stand in the court of the LORD'S house, and speak unto all the cities of Judah, which come to worship in the LORD'S house, all the words that I command thee to speak unto them; diminish not a word:
“Stand in the gate of the house of the Lord
and there call out this word: Hear the word of the Lord, all you people of Judah who enter through these gates to worship the Lord.
Jeremiah came back from Topheth, where the Lord had sent him to prophesy, stood in the courtyard of the Lord’s temple,
and proclaimed to all the people,
The prophet who has only a dream should recount the dream, but the one who has My word should speak My word truthfully, for what is straw compared to grain?”—this is the Lord’s declaration.
Then at the Lord’s temple, in the chamber of Gemariah son of Shaphan the scribe,
in the upper courtyard at the opening of the New Gate of the Lord’s temple, in the hearing of all the people, Baruch read Jeremiah’s words from the scroll.
2 Chronicles 24:20
The Spirit of God took control of
Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest. He stood above the people and said to them, “This is what God says, ‘Why are you transgressing the Lord’s commands and you do not prosper? Because you have abandoned the Lord, He has abandoned you.’”
Every day He was teaching
in the temple complex. The chief priests, the scribes, and the leaders of the people were looking for a way to destroy Him,
day as He was teaching the people in the temple complex and proclaiming the good news, the chief priests and the scribes, with the elders, came up
the day, He was teaching in the temple complex, but in the evening He would go out and spend the night on what is called the Mount of Olives.
At dawn He went to the temple complex
again, and all the people were coming to Him. He sat down and began to teach them.
“I have spoken openly to the world,” Jesus answered him. “I have always taught in the synagogue and in the temple complex, where all the Jews congregate, and I haven’t spoken anything in secret.
“Go and stand in the temple complex, and tell the people all about this life.”
You must not add anything to what I command you or take anything away from it,
so that you may keep the commands of the Lord your God I am giving you.
You must be careful to do everything I command you; do not add anything to it or take anything away from it.
And if anyone takes away from the words of this prophetic book, God will take away his share of the tree of life and the holy city, written in this book.
This is what the Lord said to me, “Go and stand at the People’s Gate, through which the kings of Judah enter and leave, as well as at all the gates of Jerusalem.
