Treasury of Scripture Knowledge
And thou shalt not escape out of his hand, but shalt surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and thine eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with thee mouth to mouth, and thou shalt go to Babylon.
Zedekiah king of Judah and his officials I will give into the hand of their enemies and into the hand of those who seek their life, and into the hand of the army of the king of Babylon which has gone away from you.
Then afterwards,” declares the Lord, “
I will give over Zedekiah king of Judah and his servants and the people, even those who survive in this city from the pestilence, the sword and the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their foes and into the hand of those who seek their lives; and he will strike them down with the edge of the sword. He will not spare them nor have pity nor compassion.”’
and Zedekiah king of Judah will
not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but he will surely be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he will speak with him face to face and see him eye to eye;
Now King Zedekiah sent and took him out; and in his palace the king
secretly asked him and said, “Is there a word from the Lord?” And Jeremiah said, “There is!” Then he said, “You will be given into the hand of the king of Babylon!”
But if you will
not go out to the officers of the king of Babylon, then this city will be given over to the hand of the Chaldeans; and they will burn it with fire, and you yourself will not escape from their hand.’”
When Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, they
fled and went out of the city at night by way of the king’s garden through the gate between the two walls; and he went out toward the Arabah.
Then the city was
broken into, and all the men of war fled and went forth from the city at night by way of the gate between the two walls which was by the king’s garden, though the Chaldeans were all around the city. And they went by way of the Arabah.

king of Babylon slew the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes at Riblah; the king of Babylon also slew all the nobles of Judah.
The king of Babylon
slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he also slaughtered all the princes of Judah in Riblah.
2 Kings 25:6
they captured the king and brought him to the king of Babylon at Riblah, and he passed sentence on him.
I will also spread My
net over him, and he will be caught in My snare. And I will bring him to Babylon in the land of the Chaldeans; yet he will not see it, though he will die there.
Now he despised the oath by breaking the covenant, and behold, he
pledged his allegiance, yet did all these things; he shall not escape.’”
And you, O slain, wicked one, the prince of Israel, whose
day has come, in the time of the punishment of the end,’
