Jeremiah Is Arrested And Put In Prison

¹⁸ And Jeremiah will say to king Zedekiah, What did I sin against thee, and against thy servants, and against this people that thou gavest me to the house of the prison? ¹⁹ And where now your prophets who prophesied to you, saying, The king of Babel shall not come against you and against this land? ²⁰ And now, hear now my lord the king: my mercy shall fall now before thy face, and thou shalt not cause me to turn back to the house of Jonathan the scribe, and I shall not die there.
