He hath compassed the waters with certain bounds, until the day and night come to an end.

Who shut the sea with doors, when it brake forth as a child out of his mother's womb?

When he shut the sea within certain bounds, that the waters should not go over their marks. When he laid the foundations of the earth,

He gathereth the waters of the sea together, as it were upon a heap, and layeth up the deep, as in a treasure-house.

Fear ye not me, sayeth the LORD? Are ye not ashamed, to look me in the face? Which bind the sea with the sand, so that it cannot pass his bounds: for though it rage, yet can it do nothing; and though the waves thereof do swell, yet may they not go over.

Neither shall sowing time and harvest, cold, and heat, summer and winter, day and night cease, as long as the earth endureth."

Thou coveredst it with the deep like as with a garment, so that the waters stand above the hills.

And this must be unto me as the water of Noah. For like as I have sworn that I will not bring the water of Noah any more upon the world: so have I sworn, that I will never be angry with thee, nor reprove thee.
