Andrew Declares Jesus To Be The Messiah

⁴⁰ One of the two who heard John speak and followed him was Andrew, brother of Simon Peter. ⁴¹ He *found first his own brother Simon and *said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which translated means Christ). ⁴² And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jonah: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
