The World's Hatred For The Disciples

¹⁷ These things I command you, so that ye may love each other. ¹⁸ If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before you. ¹⁹ If ye were of the world, the world would love its own, but because ye are not of the world (instead I chose you out of the world), because of this the world hates you.
