Then they rolled the stone away; and Jesus lifted up his eyes and said:

"But the tax-gatherer, standing far back, would not lift up so much as his eyes to heaven, but kept beating his breast and saying, "'O God be merciful to me, the sinner!'

Glorify

I have glorified thee on the earth; I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

Now he said this concerning the Spirit whom those who believed in him should receive. For the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

When Jesus heard it he said, "This illness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that through it the Son of God may be glorified."

So when he was gone, Jesus said: "Now has the Son of man been glorified, and God has been glorified in him.

"The God of Abram, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you betrayed and disowned before Pilate, when he had decided to let him go;

And for this God highly exalted him, and graciously bestowed upon him the name which is above every name;

Through him you believe in God who raised him from the dead and gave him glory; so that your faith and hope are now in God.
