and now I shall be no more in the world, but they will be in the world, when I am come to thee. holy father keep them by that authority, with which thou hast invested me, that they may be one, as we are.
I say, his goodness at this time: that he might appear to be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.
no man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten son, who is intimate with the father, hath made him known.

so when they had rowed about five and twenty, or thirty furlongs, seeing Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh to the ship, they were frightned.
for the father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I had my mission from God.
Simon Peter made answer, thou art Christ the son of the living God.
therefore doth my father love me, because I lay down my life, but I shall reassume it.
