1 When Jesus had spoken these things, He raised His eyes to heaven [in prayer] and said, “Father, the (a)hour has come. Glorify Your Son, so that Your Son may glorify You.
1 Jesus spoke these things; and (A)lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; (B)glorify Your Son, that the Son may glorify You,
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
1 Jesus spoke these things, looked up to heaven, and said:Father,the hour has come.Glorify Your Sonso that the Son(A) may glorify You,(B)
1 After Jesus had said this, he looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, so that the Son may glorify you.
2 Just as You have given Him power and authority over all mankind, [now glorify Him] so that He may give eternal life (b)to all whom You have given Him [to be His—permanently and forever].
2 even as (C)You gave Him authority over all flesh, that (D)to (a)all whom You have given Him, (E)He may give eternal life.
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
2 for You gave Him authorityover all flesh;(a)(C)so He may give eternal life(D)to all You have given Him.(E)
2 For you have given him authority over all humanity so that he might give eternal life to all those you gave him.
3 Now this is eternal life: that they may know You, the only true [supreme and sovereign] God, and [in the same manner know] Jesus [as the] Christ whom You have sent.
3 This is eternal life, that they may know You, (F)the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom (G)You have sent.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
3 This is eternal life:that they may know You, the only(F) true(G) God,and the One You have sent(H)—Jesus Christ.(I)
3 And this is eternal life: to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent Jesus the Messiah.
4 (H)I glorified You on the earth, (b)(I)having accomplished the work which You have given Me to do.
4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.
4 I have glorified You on the earthby completing the work You gave Me to do.
4 I glorified you on earth by completing the task you gave me to do.
5 Now, Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory and majesty that I had with You before the world existed.
5 Now, Father, (J)glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had (K)with You before the world was.
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
5 Now, Father,(J) glorify Me in Your presencewith that glory(K) I had with Youbefore the world existed.(L)
5 "So now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world existed.
6 “I have manifested Your name [and revealed Your very self, Your real self] to the people whom You have given Me out of the world; they were Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have kept and obeyed Your word.
6 “(L)I have manifested Your name to the men whom (M)You gave Me out of the world; they were (N)Yours and You gave them to Me, and they have (O)kept Your word.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
6 I have revealed Your name(M)to the men You gave Me(N) from the world.(O)They were Yours, You gave them to Me,(P)and they have kept Your word.(Q)
6 I have made your name known to these men whom you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word.
7 Now [at last] they know [with confident assurance] that all You have given Me is from You [it is really and truly Yours].
7 Now they have come to know that everything You have given Me is from You;
7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee.
7 Now they know that all thingsYou have given to Me are from You,
7 Now they realize that everything you gave me comes from you,
8 For the words which You gave Me I have given them; and they received and accepted them and truly understood [with confident assurance] that I came from You [from Your presence], and they believed [without any doubt] that You sent Me.
8 for (P)the words which You gave Me (Q)I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that (R)I came forth from You, and they believed that (S)You sent Me.
8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.
8 because the words that You gave Me,(R)I have given them.They have received themand have known for certainthat I came from You.(S)They have believed that You sent Me.
8 because the words that you gave me I passed on to them. They have received them and know for sure that I came from you. They have believed that you sent me.
9 I pray for them; I do not pray for the world, but for those You have given Me, because they belong to You;
9 (T)I ask on their behalf; (U)I do not ask on behalf of the world, but of those whom (V)You have given Me; for (W)they are Yours;
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
9 I pray(b) for them.I am not praying for the worldbut for those You have given Me,(T)because they are Yours.
9 "I am asking on their behalf. I am not asking on behalf of the world, but on behalf of those you gave me, because they are yours.
10 and all things that are Mine are Yours, and [all things that are] Yours are Mine; and I am glorified in them.
10 and (X)all things that are Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.
10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them.
10 All that is mine is yours, and what is yours is mine, and I have been glorified through them.
11 I am no longer in the world; yet they are still in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me, so that they may be one just as We are.
11 I am no longer in the world; and yet (Y)they themselves are in the world, and (Z)I come to You. (AA)Holy Father, keep them in Your name, the name (AB)which You have given Me, that (AC)they may be one even as We are.
11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
11 I am no longer in the world,but they are in the world,and I am coming to You.(V)Holy(W) Father,protect(c) them by Your name(X)that You have given Me,so that they may be one(Y) as We are(Z) one.
11 I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by your Name, the Name that you gave me, so that they may be one, as we are one.
12 While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name which You have given Me; and I guarded them and protected them, and not one of them was lost except (d)the son of destruction, so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.(A)
12 While I was with them, I was keeping them in Your name (AD)which You have given Me; and I guarded them and (AE)not one of them perished but (AF)the (c)son of perdition, so that the (AG)Scripture would be fulfilled.
12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
12 While I was with them,I was protecting them by Your namethat You have given Me.I guarded(AA) them and not one of them is lost,except the son of destruction,(d)so that the Scripture(AB) may be fulfilled.(AC)
12 While I was with them, I protected them by the authority that you gave me. I guarded them, and not one of them became lost except the one who was destined for destruction, so that the Scripture might be fulfilled.
13 But now I am coming to You; and I say these things [while I am still] in the world so that they may experience My joy made full and complete and perfect within them [filling their hearts with My delight].
13 But now (AH)I come to You; and (AI)these things I speak in the world so that they may have My (AJ)joy made full in themselves.
13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.
13 Now I am coming to You,and I speak these things in the worldso that they may have My joy completed in them.
13 "And now I am coming to you, and I say these things in the world so that they may have my joy made complete in themselves.
14 I have given to them Your word [the message You gave Me]; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world and do not belong to the world, just as I am not of the world and do not belong to it.
14 I have given them Your word; and (AK)the world has hated them, because (AL)they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

14 I have given them your word, and the world has hated them, because they do not belong to the world, just as I don't belong to the world.
15 I do not ask You to take them out of the world, but that You keep them and protect them from the evil one.
15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
15 I am not prayingthat You take them out of the worldbut that You protect them from the evil one.(AG)
15 I'm not asking you to take them out of the world but to protect them from the evil one.
19 For their sake (e)I sanctify Myself [to do Your will], so that they also may be sanctified [set apart, dedicated, made holy] in [Your] truth.

20 “I do not pray for these alone [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for [all] those who [will ever] believe and trust in Me through their message,
20 “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but for those also who believe in Me through their word;
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
20 I pray not only for these,but also for those who believe in Methrough their message.
20 I ask not only on behalf of these men, but also on behalf of those who will believe in me through their message,
21 that they all may be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe [without any doubt] that You sent Me.
21 that they may all be one; (AU)even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, (AV)so that the world may (f)believe that (AW)You sent Me.
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
21 May they all be one,(AL)as You, Father, are in Me and I am in You.(AM)May they also be one(f) in Us,so the world may believe You sent Me.
21 so that they may all be one. Just as you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be one in us, so that the world may believe that you sent me.
22 I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one, just as We are one;
22 The (AX)glory which You have given Me I have given to them, that they may be one, just as We are one;
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:
22 "I have given them the glory that you gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are one.
23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected and completed into one, so that the world may know [without any doubt] that You sent Me, and [that You] have loved them, just as You have loved Me.
23 (AY)I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected (g)in unity, so that the world may (h)know that (AZ)You sent Me, and (BA)loved them, even as You have loved Me.
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
23 I am in them and You are in Me.(AO)May they be made completely one,so the world may know You have sent Meand have loved(AP) them as You have loved Me.(AQ)
23 I am in them, and you are in me. May they be completely one, so that the world may know that you sent me and that you have loved them as you loved me.
24 Father, I desire that they also, whom You have given to Me [as Your gift to Me], may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory which You have given Me, because You loved Me before the foundation of the world.
24 Father, I desire that (BB)they also, whom You have given Me, (BC)be with Me where I am, so that they may see My (BD)glory which You have given Me, for You loved Me before (BE)the foundation of the world.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
24 Father,I desire those You have given Meto be with Me where I am.(AR)Then they will see My glory,which You have given Mebecause You loved Me before the world’s foundation.
24 Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am and to see my glory, which you gave me because you loved me before the creation of the world.
25 “O just and righteous Father, although the world has not known You and has never acknowledged You [and the revelation of Your mercy], yet I have always known You; and these [believers] know [without any doubt] that You sent Me;
25 “O (BF)righteous Father, (i)although (BG)the world has not known You, yet I have known You; and these have known that (BH)You sent Me;
25 O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.
25 Righteous Father!The world has not known You.However, I have known You,(AS)and these have known that You sent Me.
25 "Righteous Father, the world has never known you. Yet I have known you, and these men have known that you sent me.
26 and I have made Your name known to them, and will continue to make it known, so that the love with which You have loved Me may be in them [overwhelming their heart], and I [may be] in them.”
26 and (BI)I have made Your name known to them, and will make it known, so that (BJ)the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
26 And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.
26 I made Your name(AT) known to themand will make it known,so the love You have loved Me withmay be in them and I may be in them.(AU)
