When the high priests and the officials saw him, they shouted, "Crucify him! Crucify him!" Pilate told them, "You take him and crucify him. I find no basis for a charge against him."

Pilate asked him, "What is "truth'?" and then he went out to the Jewish leaders again and told them, "I find no basis for a charge against him.

saying, "I have sinned by betraying innocent blood."

We have been condemned justly, because we are getting what we deserve for what we have done, but this man has done nothing wrong."

God made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that God's righteousness would be produced in us.

We need such a high priest one who is holy, innocent, pure, set apart from sinners, exalted above the heavens.

but with the precious blood of the Messiah, like that of a lamb without blemish or defect.

"He never sinned, and he never told a lie."

For the Messiah also suffered for sins once for all, an innocent person for the guilty, so that he could bring you to God. He was put to death in a mortal body but was brought to life by the Spirit,

You know that the Messiah was revealed to take away sins, and there is not any sin in him.
