John 3:20

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

because I testify of it, that its works are evil.

And one of the lawyers answering said to him, Master, thus saying, thou reproachest us also.

For if any one be an hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like a man beholding his natural face in a glass.

For it is a shame even to speak the things which are done by them in secret.

But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils.

Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

And knew not, till the flood came and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

And the light shineth in darkness, but the darkness perceived it not.

But because I speak the truth, ye believe me not.

If the world hate you, ye know it hated me, before it hated you.

Of sin, because they believe not on me;
