And much murmuring was there of him among the people. Some said, "He is good." Others said, "Nay, but he deceiveth the people."

Many of the people, when they heard this saying said, "Of a truth, this is a Prophet."

Then said some of the Pharisees, "This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the Sabbath day." Others said, "How can a man that is a sinner do such miracles?" And there was strife among them.

The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things about him: Wherefore the Pharisees and high priests sent ministers forth to take him.

Then answered them the Pharisees, "Are ye also deceived?

It is enough for the disciple to be as his Master is, and that the servant be as his Lord is. If they have called the Lord of the house Beelzebub: how much more shall they call them of his household so?

When Jesus came into the coasts of the city which is called Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples saying, "Whom do men say that I, the son of man, am?"

And they went about to lay hands on him, but they feared the people, because they took him as a prophet.

and said, "Sir, we remember that this deceiver said while he was yet alive, after three days I will arise again.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good. And an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart, bringeth forth that which is evil. For of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaketh.

And there came a fear on them all. And they glorified God, saying, "A great prophet is risen among us, and God hath visited his people."

Jesus said unto him, "Why callest thou me good? None is good, save God only.

When the Centurion saw what had happened, he glorified God saying, "Of a surety this man was perfect."

And behold, there was a man named Joseph, a councilor: and was a good man and a just;

Then those men, when they had seen the miracle that Jesus did, said, "This is of a truth the same prophet that should come into the world."

Then said some of them of Jerusalem, "Is not this he whom they go about to kill?

They answered, and said unto him, "Art thou also of Galilee? Search and look, for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet."

And there was a dissension among the Jews for these sayings,

For he was a good man, and full of the holy ghost and of faith. And much people was added unto the Lord.

Yet scarce will any man die for a righteous man. Peradventure for a good man durst a man die.
