And cried

Then Jesus cried, teaching in the temple and saying, You both know me and know whence I am; and I have not come of myself; but he that sent me is true, whom you know not;

He said, I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, Make straight the way of the Lord, as Isaiah the prophet said.

For this is he that was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying; A voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.
