Jesus Predicts His Death

²⁸ so Jesus said, "When you have lifted up the Son of man, you will know then who I am, and that I do nothing of my own accord, but speak as the Father has taught me. ²⁹ He who sent me is at my side; he has not left me alone; for I always do what pleases him." ³⁰ As he said this, a number believed in him.
