Jonah Is Angry At Yahweh's Compassion

² And he prayed to LORD, and said, I pray thee, O LORD, was not this my saying, when I was yet in my country? Therefore I hastened to flee to Tarshish, for I knew that thou are a gracious God, and merciful, slow to anger, and abundan ³ Therefore now, O LORD, I beseech thee, take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live. ⁴ And LORD said, Do thou well to be angry?
