The Grain Offering

1 "'When a person presents a grain offering to the Lord, his offering must consist of choice wheat flour, and he must pour olive oil on it and put frankincense on it.

1 ‘Now when anyone presents a (A)grain offering as an offering to the Lord, his offering shall be of fine flour, and he shall pour oil on it and put frankincense on it.

1 And when any will offer a meat offering unto the LORD, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil upon it, and put frankincense thereon:

1 “When anyone presents a grain offering(A) as a gift to the Lord, his gift must consist of fine flour.(a)(B) He is to pour olive oil(C) on it, put frankincense on it,(b)(D)

1 "When a person brings an offering that is, a grain offering to the LORD, his offering is to consist of fine flour. He is to pour olive oil mixed with frankincense over it.

2 Then he must bring it to the sons of Aaron, the priests, and the priest must scoop out from there a handful of its choice wheat flour and some of its olive oil in addition to all of its frankincense, and the priest must offer its memorial portion up in smoke on the altar -- it is a gift of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

2 He shall then bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests; and shall take from it (B)his handful of its fine flour and of its oil with all of its frankincense. And the priest shall offer it up in smoke as its (C)memorial portion on the altar, an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

2 And he shall bring it to Aaron's sons the priests: and he shall take thereout his handful of the flour thereof, and of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof; and the priest shall burn the memorial of it upon the altar, to be an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD:

2 and bring it to Aaron’s sons the priests. The priest will take a handful of fine flour and oil from it, along with all its frankincense, and will burn this memorial portion(E) of it on the altar, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

2 Then he is to bring it to Aaron's sons, the priests. He is to take a handful of fine flour, the olive oil, and all of the frankincense. Then the priest is to offer a memorial offering by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.

3 The remainder of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and to his sons -- it is most holy from the gifts of the Lord.

3 (D)The remainder of the grain offering belongs to (E)Aaron and his sons: a thing most holy, of the offerings to the Lord by fire.

3 And the remnant of the meat offering shall be Aaron's and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.

3 But the rest of the grain offering will belong to Aaron and his sons; it is the holiest part(F) of the fire offerings to the Lord.

3 The remnants from the grain offering is for Aaron and his sons the holiest of the offerings made by fire to the LORD."

Processed Grain Offerings

4 "'When you present an offering of grain baked in an oven, it must be made of choice wheat flour baked into unleavened loaves mixed with olive oil or unleavened wafers smeared with olive oil.

4 ‘Now when you bring an offering of a grain offering baked in an oven, it shall be (F)unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers (a)spread with oil.

4 And if thou bring an oblation of a meat offering baken in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mingled with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil.

4 “When you present a grain offering baked in an oven, it must be made of fine flour, either unleavened cakes(G) mixed with oil or unleavened wafers(H) coated with oil.

4 "When you bring an offering that is, a grain offering baked in an oven it is to consist of fine flour baked into unleavened bread mixed with olive oil or of wafers made of unleavened bread and smeared with olive oil.

5 If your offering is a grain offering made on the griddle, it must be choice wheat flour mixed with olive oil, unleavened.

5 If your offering is a grain offering made (G)on the griddle, it shall be of fine flour, unleavened, mixed with oil;

5 And if thy oblation be a meat offering baken in a pan, it shall be of fine flour unleavened, mingled with oil.

5 If your gift is a grain offering prepared on a griddle,(I) it must be unleavened bread(J) made of fine flour mixed with oil.

5 "If your grain offering has been prepared on a griddle, then it is to consist of fine flour mixed with olive oil.

6 Crumble it in pieces and pour olive oil on it -- it is a grain offering.

6 you shall break it into bits and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering.

6 Thou shalt part it in pieces, and pour oil thereon: it is a meat offering.

6 Break it into pieces and pour oil on it; it is a grain offering.

6 Crumble it into morsels of bread and then pour olive oil on it. It's a grain offering.

7 If your offering is a grain offering made in a pan, it must be made of choice wheat flour deep fried in olive oil.

7 Now if your offering is a grain offering made (H)in a (b)pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.

7 And if thy oblation be a meat offering baken in the fryingpan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.

7 If your gift is a grain offering prepared in a pan,(K) it must be made of fine flour with oil.

7 "When your grain offering has been prepared in a stew pan, it is to consist of fine flour mixed with olive oil.

8 "'You must bring the grain offering that must be made from these to the Lord. Present it to the priest, and he will bring it to the altar.

8 When you bring in the grain offering which is made of these things to the Lord, it shall be presented to the priest and he shall bring it to the altar.

8 And thou shalt bring the meat offering that is made of these things unto the LORD: and when it is presented unto the priest, he shall bring it unto the altar.

8 When you bring(c) to the Lord the grain offering made in any of these ways, it is to be presented to the priest, and he will take it to the altar.

8 Bring the grain offering that you prepared from these ingredients to the LORD. Present it to the priest, who will bring it to the altar.

9 Then the priest must take up from the grain offering its memorial portion and offer it up in smoke on the altar -- it is a gift of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

9 The priest then shall take up from the grain offering (I)its memorial portion, and shall offer it up in smoke on the altar as an offering by fire of a soothing aroma to the Lord.

9 And the priest shall take from the meat offering a memorial thereof, and shall burn it upon the altar: it is an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto the LORD.

9 The priest will remove the memorial portion(d) from the grain offering and burn it on the altar, a fire offering of a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

9 Then the priest will dedicate some of the grain offering as a memorial offering and offer it in smoke on the altar, an offering by fire that will be a pleasing aroma to the LORD.

10 The remainder of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and to his sons -- it is most holy from the gifts of the Lord.

10 (J)The remainder of the grain offering belongs to Aaron and his sons: a thing most holy of the offerings to the Lord by fire.

10 And that which is left of the meat offering shall be Aaron's and his sons': it is a thing most holy of the offerings of the LORD made by fire.

10 But the rest of the grain offering will belong to Aaron and his sons;(L) it is the holiest part of the fire offerings to the Lord.

10 The remainder from the memorial offering is for Aaron and his sons the holiest of the offerings made by fire to the LORD."

Additional Grain Offering Regulations

11 "'No grain offering which you present to the Lord can be made with yeast, for you must not offer up in smoke any yeast or honey as a gift to the Lord.

11 (K)No grain offering, which you bring to the Lord, shall be made with leaven, for you shall not offer (c)up in smoke any leaven or any honey as an (L)offering by fire to the Lord.

11 No meat offering, which ye shall bring unto the LORD, shall be made with leaven: for ye shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of the LORD made by fire.

11 “No grain offering that you present to the Lord is to be made with yeast, for you are not to burn(e) any yeast(M) or honey(N) as a fire offering to the Lord.

11 "Any grain offering that you bring to the LORD is not to be prepared with yeast, because anything with leaven and honey may not be offered in smoke as an offering by fire to the LORD.

12 You can present them to the Lord as an offering of first fruit, but they must not go up to the altar for a soothing aroma.

12 (M)As an offering of first fruits you shall bring them to the Lord, but they shall not ascend for a soothing aroma on the altar.

12 As for the oblation of the firstfruits, ye shall offer them unto the LORD: but they shall not be burnt on the altar for a sweet savour.

12 You may present them to the Lord as an offering of firstfruits,(O) but they are not to be offered on the altar as a pleasing aroma.

12 You may bring them to the LORD as an offering of first fruits, but they are not to be offered on the altar for a pleasing aroma."

13 Moreover, you must season every one of your grain offerings with salt; you must not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be missing from your grain offering -- on every one of your grain offerings you must present salt.

13 Every grain offering of yours, moreover, you shall season with salt, so that (N)the salt of the covenant of your God shall not be lacking from your grain offering; with all your offerings you shall offer salt.

13 And every oblation of thy meat offering shalt thou season with salt; neither shalt thou suffer the salt of the covenant of thy God to be lacking from thy meat offering: with all thine offerings thou shalt offer salt.

13 You are to season each of your grain offerings with salt; you must not omit from your grain offering the salt of the covenant(P) with your God. You are to present salt(f) with each of your offerings.

13 "Also, be sure to rub every offering from your grain offering with salt. You are not ever to remove the salt of the covenant of your God from your grain offering. Present all your offerings with salt."

Offering The First Grain Harvested

14 "'If you present a grain offering of first ripe grain to the Lord, you must present your grain offering of first ripe grain as soft kernels roasted in fire -- crushed bits of fresh grain.

14 ‘Also if you bring a grain offering of early ripened things to the Lord, you shall bring (O)fresh heads of grain roasted in the fire, grits of new growth, for the grain offering of your early ripened things.

14 And if thou offer a meat offering of thy firstfruits unto the LORD, thou shalt offer for the meat offering of thy firstfruits green ears of corn dried by the fire, even corn beaten out of full ears.

14 “If you present a grain offering of firstfruits to the Lord, you must present fresh heads of grain, crushed kernels, roasted on the fire, for your grain offering of firstfruits.

14 "Whenever you bring a grain offering of first fruits to the LORD, bring fresh barley roasted in fire, young kernels crushed into bits. Bring the grain offering with your first fruits

15 And you must put olive oil on it and set frankincense on it -- it is a grain offering.

15 You shall then put oil on it and lay incense on it; it is a grain offering.

15 And thou shalt put oil upon it, and lay frankincense thereon: it is a meat offering.

15 You are to put oil and frankincense on it; it is a grain offering.

15 and then pour olive oil and frankincense over it as a grain offering.

16 Then the priest must offer its memorial portion up in smoke -- some of its crushed bits, some of its olive oil, in addition to all of its frankincense -- it is a gift to the Lord.

16 The priest shall offer up in smoke (P)its memorial portion, part of its grits and its oil with all its incense as an offering by fire to the Lord.

16 And the priest shall burn the memorial of it, part of the beaten corn thereof, and part of the oil thereof, with all the frankincense thereof: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

16 The priest will then burn some of its crushed kernels and oil with all its frankincense as a fire offering to the Lord.

16 The priest is to offer the memorial offering in smoke its crushed bits, olive oil, and frankincense as an offering by fire to the LORD."
