And shewed

On their return the apostles told him what they had done. and he took them and withdrew in private to a town called Bethsaida.

Then his disciples came to him and said, "Do you know that the Pharisees were scandalized when they heard that saying?" He replied.

"When therefore his fellow slaves saw what had happened, they were very angry; and they went and explained to their master all that had happened.

Obey your leaders and submit to them; for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who must give account; that they may do thus with joy and not with lamentation, for this would be unprofitable to you.

"But when you make a reception, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind.

So he answered them. "Go your way, tell John what you have seen and heard. How the blind are seeing, the lame are walking, the lepers are being cleansed, the deaf are hearing, the dead are being raised, and the poor are hearing the proclamations of glad tidings.
