The Parable Of The Pharisee And The Tax Collector

⁹ He then spoke this illustration to some who trusted in themselves. They were very self-righteous. They looked down on others: ¹⁰ “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. ¹¹ The Pharisee stood and prayed like this: God, I thank you, that I am not like the rest of men, extortionists, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector.
