The Parable Of The Pharisee And The Tax Collector

¹¹ The Pharisee, standing by himself, offered this prayer; God, I thank thee that I am not as other men, rapacious, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican; ¹²  I fast twice a week; I tithe all I acquire. ¹³ And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up his eyes to heaven, but smote on his breast, saying, God, be propitious to me a sinner.
