He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
“ For it is just like a man about to go on a journey, who called his own slaves and entrusted his possessions to them.
It is like a man away on a journey, who upon leaving his house and putting his slaves in charge, assigning to each one his task, also commanded the doorkeeper to stay on the alert.
And He began to tell the people this parable: “A man planted a vineyard and rented it out to vine-growers, and went on a journey for a long time.
While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.
But when the vine-growers saw the son, they said among themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and seize his inheritance.’
And He began to speak to them in parables: “, and rented it out to A man planted a vineyard and put a wall around it, and dug a vat under the wine press and built a tower vine-growers and went on a journey.
So then, when the Lord Jesus had
spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
And after He had said these things,
He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying,
“ All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Therefore Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered,
“ You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

For He must reign
until He has put all His enemies under His feet.
which He brought about in Christ, when He
raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,
For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,
1 Peter 3:22
who is at the right hand of God, having gone into heaven, after angels and authorities and powers had been subjected to Him.
They also said, “
Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”
because He has fixed
a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”
so Christ also, having been
offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.
Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen.
