Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

The people who sat in darkness saw a great light, yea light dawned on those who sat in the land and the shadow of death.

For these are the Lord's orders to us: I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the end of the earth."

Be sure of this, then, that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen to it."

Christ, I mean, became a servant to the circumcised in order to prove God's honesty by fulfilling His promises to the fathers,

so that, as it is written, let him who boasts boast of the Lord.

And the City needs no sun or moon to shine upon it, for the glory of God illumines it, and the Lamb lights it up.

so shall all flesh see the saving power of God.'
