Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.

neither staves, nor scrip, nor bread, nor money: neither have two coats apiece.

Carry not purse or scrip or shoes, and salute no man by the way.

Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses: Nor scrip for your journey, nor two coats, nor shoes, nor yet a staff:

And commanded them to take nothing for the journey, save a staff only; no scrip, no bread, no mony in their purse;

And seek not ye, what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of a doubtful mind.

Therefore take not thought, saying, What shall we eat, or what shall we drink, or what shall we wear?

As it is written, He that had gathered the most, had nothing over; and he that had gathered the least, did not lack.
