the son of man indeed must die, as it was decreed: but wo to that man by whom he is betrayed.

Afterwards Jesus took the twelve aside, and said to them, now we are going to Jerusalem where all that the prophets have writ concerning the son of man shall be accomplished.

then he said, this is what I told you, while I was yet with you, that what has been written concerning me in the law of Moses, in the prophets, and in the psalms, must be all accomplished.

but how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, which say, that thus it must happen?

if the law stiles them Gods, who received the orders of God, and if the scripture is of any authortiy,

after this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be be fulfilled, said, I thirst.

as for the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and their senators, by their not knowing who he was, and by condemning him, they have accomplished the declarations of the prophets, which are read every sabbath-day:

At the same time, two malefactors were led along to be crucified with Jesus.

at the same time they crucified two robbers, one on his right hand, the other on his left.

for he hath made him who knew no sin to be a sin-offering for us, that we might be justified by God thro' him.
