Luke 23:24

And he released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for; but Jesus he delivered up to their will.

Then he released Barabbas to them; and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.

So Pilate, wanting to satisfy the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered Jesus, after he had scourged him, to be crucified.

So then Pilate took Jesus and scourged him.

And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required.
