While he was saying this, a cloud formed and began to overshadow them; and they were afraid as they entered the cloud.

“I will surely tell of the decree of the Lord:
He said to Me, ‘You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.

“Behold, My Servant, whom I uphold;
My chosen one in whom My soul delights.
I have put My Spirit upon Him;
He will bring forth justice to the nations.

“Behold, My

Servant whom I have chosen;

My Beloved in whom My soul

is well-pleased;

I will put My Spirit upon Him,

And He shall proclaim

justice to the

Gentiles.

While he was still speaking, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold, a voice out of the cloud said, “This is My beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased; listen to Him!”

He trusts in God; let God rescue Him now, if He

delights in Him; for He said, ‘I am the Son of God.’”

For He rescued us from the

domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of

His beloved Son,

And coming to Him as to a living stone which has been rejected by men, but is choice and precious in the sight of God,

For when He received honor and glory from God the Father, such an

utterance as this was made to Him by the Majestic Glory, “This is My beloved Son with whom I am well-pleased”—
