Jesus Again Foretells His Death

⁴³ And they were all amazed at the mighty power of God. But while they were all wondering at all the things which he did, he said to his disciples, ⁴⁴ As for you, let these words sink into your ears; for the Son of man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men. ⁴⁵ But they knew not the meaning of these words, and it was hidden from them, that they might not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask him about these words.

Luke 9:22

saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be put to death, and rise again on the third day.

Matthew 16:21
