Jesus Again Foretells His Death

⁴³ And they were all amazed at the Majesty of God! And while all were marvelling at all the things which He was doing, He said to His disciples, ⁴⁴  "Put ye these words into your ears; for the Son of Man is about to be delivered up into the hands of men." ⁴⁵ But they did not understand this saying; and it was veiled from them, that they might not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him concerning this saying.

Luke 9:22

saying, "The Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, and high priests, and scribes; and be killed, and on the third day be raised up."

Matthew 16:21

From that time began Jesus to show to His disciples, that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and high-priests and scribes, and be killed, and on the third day be raised up.
