Luke 9:8

by others that Elijah had appeared, and by still others that one of the ancient prophets had come back to life.

They answered, "John the Baptist; though others say Elijah, and still others that one of the ancient prophets has come back to life."

So they asked him again, "What are you then? Elijah?" And he answered, "Of course, I am not." "Are you the prophet?" He answered, "No."

The disciples asked Him, "Why then do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?"

But others were saying that He was Elijah, and still others that He was a prophet like the prophets of old.

They answered Him, "John the Baptist; others say, Elijah, and others that you are one of the prophets."
