1 And when they came nigh to Jerusalem, unto Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount of Olives, he sendeth forth two of his disciples,

1 (A)As they *approached Jerusalem, at Bethphage and (B)Bethany, near (C)the Mount of Olives, He *sent two of His disciples,

1 When(A) they approached Jerusalem,(B) at Bethphage and Bethany(C) near the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples

2 and says to them, Go into the village over against you: and immediately entering into it, you will find a colt tied, on which no one of men has ever sat; loosing him, lead him away.

2 And saith unto them, Go your way into the village over against you: and as soon as ye be entered into it, ye shall find a colt tied, whereon never man sat; loose him, and bring him.

2 and *said to them, “Go into the village opposite you, and immediately as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, on which no one yet has ever sat; untie it and bring it here.

2 and told them, “Go into the village ahead of you. As soon as you enter it, you will find a young donkey tied there, on which no one has ever sat. Untie it and bring it here.

2 and told them, "Go into the village ahead of you. As soon as you go into it, you will find a colt tied up that no one has ever ridden. Untie it, and bring it along.

3 And if any one may say to you, Why do you this? say to him, that the Lord hath need of him; and immediately he sends him hither.

3 And if any man say unto you, Why do ye this? say ye that the Lord hath need of him; and straightway he will send him hither.

3 If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ you say, ‘The Lord has need of it’; and immediately he (a)will send it back here.”

3 If anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here right away.’”

3 If anyone asks you, "Why are you doing this?,' say, "The Lord needs it,' and he will send it back here at once."

7 And they lead the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and He sat on him.

7 And they brought the colt to Jesus, and cast their garments on him; and he sat upon him.

23 Truly I say unto you, That whosoever may say to this mountain, Be thou taken up and cast into the sea; and may not doubt in his heart, but believe that what he says does take place; it shall be unto him.

23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

23 (S)Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him.

23 I assure you:(AF) If anyone says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt(AG) in his heart, but believes(AH) that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.(AI)

23 I tell all of you with certainty, if anyone says to this mountain, "Be lifted up and thrown into the sea,' if he doesn't doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him.

24 Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever you pray for and ask, believe that you just now received them, and they shall be unto you.

24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

24 Therefore I say to you, (T)all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you.

24 Therefore I tell you, all the things you pray(AJ) and ask for(AK)—believe that you have received(e)(AL) them, and you will have them.

24 That is why I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it and it will be yours.

25 And when you stand praying, forgive, if you have aught against any one; in order that your Father who is in the heavens may forgive you your trespasses.

25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

25 Whenever you (U)stand praying, (V)forgive, if you have anything against anyone, so that your Father who is in heaven will also forgive you your transgressions.

25 And whenever you stand(AM) praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive(AN) him, so that your Father(AO) in heaven(AP) will also forgive(AQ) you your wrongdoing.

Jesus' Authority Challenged

27 They come again into Jerusalem. And He walking round in the temple, the high priests, and scribes, and elders come to Him;

27 And they come again to Jerusalem: and as he was walking in the temple, there come to him the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders,

27 They *came again to Jerusalem. (X)And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders *came to Him,

27 They(AS) came again to Jerusalem.(AT) As He was walking in the temple complex,(AU) the chief priests, the scribes,(AV) and the elders(AW) came

27 Then they went into Jerusalem again. While Jesus was walking in the Temple, the high priests, the scribes, and the elders came to him

28 and they said to Him, By what authority are you doing these things? and who gave you this authority that you may do them?

28 And say unto him, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority to do these things?

28 and began saying to Him, “By what authority are You doing these things, or who gave You this authority to do these things?”

28 and asked Him, “By what authority(AX) are You doing these things? Who gave You this authority to do these things?”

28 and asked him, "By what authority are you doing these things, and who gave you this authority to do them?"

29 And Jesus said to them, I will ask you one word, and you respond to me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:

29 And Jesus answered and said unto them, I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

29 And Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question, and you answer Me, and then I will tell you by what authority I do these things.

29 Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question;(AY) then answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things.

29 Jesus told them, "I'll ask you one question. Answer me, and then I'll tell you by what authority I'm doing these things.

30 Was the baptism of John from heaven, or from men? answer me.

30 The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men? answer me.

30 Was the baptism of John from heaven, or from men? Answer Me.”

30 Was John’s baptism(AZ) from heaven or from men? Answer Me.”

30 Was John's authority to baptize from heaven or from humans? Answer me."

31 And they reasoned among themselves, saying, If we may say, It is from heaven; He will say, Why did you not believe on him?

31 And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say, Why then did ye not believe him?

31 They began reasoning among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’

31 They began to argue among themselves: “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Then why didn’t you believe(BA) him?’

31 They began discussing this among themselves. "If we say, "From heaven,' he'll say, "Then why didn't you believe him?'

32 But if we may say, From men; they feared the people: for all held John that he was a prophet.

32 But if we shall say, Of men; they feared the people: for all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed.

32 But (g)shall we say, ‘From men’?”—they were afraid of the people, for everyone considered John to have been a real prophet.

32 But if we say, ‘From men’”—they were afraid of the crowd, because everyone thought that John was a genuine prophet.(BB)

32 But if we say, "From humans'"?" They were afraid of the crowd, because everyone really thought John was a prophet.

33 And responding they say to Jesus, We do not know. And Jesus says to them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.

33 And they answered and said unto Jesus, We cannot tell. And Jesus answering saith unto them, Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.

33 Answering Jesus, they *said, “We do not know.” And Jesus *said to them, “Nor (h)will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

33 So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.”And Jesus said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”

33 So they answered Jesus, "We don't know." Then Jesus told them, "Then I won't tell you by what authority I'm doing these things."
