And Peter followed him afar off, even into the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire.

Peter declared to him: Even though all shall leave you I will not.

Some of them went to Gad and Gilead on the other side of the Jordan River. Saul stayed at Gilgal. His soldiers trembled with fear.

But Peter kept his distance. He followed him to the courtyard of the high priest. He entered and sat down with the servants, to see the outcome.

Simon Peter followed Jesus and so did another disciple. The high priest knew that disciple. He entered the court of the high priest with Jesus.

He went into a cave and spent the night. The word of Jehovah came to him, saying: What are you doing here, Elijah?

They kindled a fire in the midst of the court. They sat down together. Peter sat in the midst of them.

It was cold. So the servants and officers warmed themselves by the fire. Peter also stood by the fire to get warm.

(possible spurious text) He was in agony and earnestly prayed. His sweat became, as it were great drops of blood falling down upon the ground.

Those who captured Jesus took him to the house of Caiaphas, the high priest. The scribes and those in authority also gathered there.
