Mark 14:8

She did what she could: she anointed My body beforehand for the burial.

for, if the readiness is present, it is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he has not.

And, evening having already come, since it was the Preparation, that is, the day before the sabbath,

And, taking it down, he wrapped it in fine linen, and placed Him in a tomb, hewn in a stone, where no one was yet laid.

Jesus, therefore, said, "Suffer her to keep it for the day of My burial;

The soldiers, therefore, came, and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who was crucified with Him;

And we make known to you, brethren, the grace of God which has been bestowed in the assemblies of Macedonia;

But, on the first day of the sabbaths, at early dawn, they came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they prepared.

For she, in pouring this ointment upon My body, did it with reference to My burial.
