Mark 15:3
When the chief priests continued making many accusations against him, Pilate repeatedly questioned him.
Matthew 27:12
"It is as you say," answered Jesus; but while he was being accused by the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

Then the high priest rose and stood forth among them. "Have you no answer to make?" he asked Jesus; "What is it that these testify against you?"

After that Pilate began to seek to release him, but the Jews shouted out. "If you release this man you are no friend of the Emperor. Any man who makes himself out to be king is a rebel against the Emperor."
