Adulterous

But He answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation demands a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

Then He left them and went away.

Adulteresses!

Don’t you know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? So whoever wants to be the world’s friend becomes God’s enemy.

The son

“I am,”

said Jesus, “and all of you will see the Son of Man

seated at the right hand

of the Power and coming with the clouds

of heaven.”

I continued watching in the night visions,

and I saw One like a son of man
coming with the clouds of heaven.
He approached the Ancient of Days
and was escorted before Him.

For the Son of Man is going to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will reward each according to what he has done.

“Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the peoples of the earth will mourn; and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

“When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels

with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory.

“You have said it,”

Jesus told him. “But I tell you, in the future you will see the Son of Man seated at the right hand of the Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

The Word became flesh

and took up residence among us.
We observed His glory,
the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father,
full of grace and truth.

And He has granted Him the right to pass judgment, because He is the Son of Man.

Then the crowd replied to Him, “We have heard from the scripture that the Messiah will remain forever. So how can You say, ‘The Son of Man must be lifted up’? Who is this Son of Man?”
