That same time rejoiced Jesus in the holy ghost, and said, "I confess unto thee father Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast opened them to the babes. Even so, father, for so pleased it thee.

Lord

"Blessed be Abram unto the most highest God, possessor of heaven and earth.
Behold, heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD's, thy God, and the earth with all that therein is:

He answered, and said unto them, "It is given unto you to know the secrets of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
Woe be unto them that are wise in their own sight, and think themselves to have understanding.
For the LORD shall give you a hard-sleeping spirit, and close your eyes. Your Prophets also, and heads which should see; them shall he cover.
And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked him of the similitude.
Doth any of the rulers, or of the Pharisees, believe on him?
Jesus said, "I am come unto judgment, into this world: that they which see not, might see, and they which see might be made blind."
that the saying of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, that he spake, "Lord who shall believe our saying? And to whom is the arm of the Lord opened?"
according as it is written, "God hath given them the spirit of unquietness: eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear, even unto this day."
For the preaching of the cross is, to them that perish, foolishness: but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God.
That we speak of is wisdom among them that are perfect - not the wisdom of this world, neither of the rulers of this world, which goeth to nought -
Let no man deceive himself. If any man seem wise among you, let him be a fool in this world, that he may be wise.
But their minds were blinded. For until this day remaineth the same covering, untaken away, in the old testament when they read it - which in Christ is put away:
If our Gospel be yet hid, it is hid among them that are lost,

And Jesus answered, and said to him, "Happy art thou, Simon the son of Jonas, for flesh and blood hath not opened unto thee that, but my father which is in heaven.
and said, "Verily, I say unto you, Except ye turn, and become as children, ye cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven.
and said unto him, "Hearest thou what these say?" Jesus said unto them, "Yea, have ye never read, 'Of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast ordained praise?'"
But the lad Samuel ministered before the LORD girded about with a linen ephod.
And the LORD called Samuel; and he said, "Here am I."
Out of the mouth of the very babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength, because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
"Before I fashioned thee in thy mother's womb, I did know thee: And before thou wast born, I sanctified thee and ordained thee, to be a Prophet unto the people."
When Jesus saw that, he was displeased, and said to them, "Suffer the children to come unto me and forbid them not. For of such is the kingdom of God.
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world, to confound the wise. And God hath chosen the weak things of the world, to confound things which are mighty.
