But for Tyre and Sidon it shall be more tolerable in the judgment, than for you.

Now to him who is able to strengthen you according to my gospel, even the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was concealed during the times of the ages,

but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, even that which had been hidden, which God predestined before the ages, for our glory,

which, in other generations, was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

of which I was made a minister according to the commission from God, which was given to me for you, that I might fully preach the word of God,

who has saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus be fore the times of the ages,

in hope of eternal life, which God, who can not lie, promised be fore the times of the ages,

GOD, who in many parts and in many ways spoke in ancient times to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by his Son,

inquiring what things, and what time, the Spirit of Christ that was in them did signify, when it testified, before hand, the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow them;
