"Whoever receives a prophet because he is a prophet, shall receive a prophet's reward; and whoever receives a righteous man, shall receive a righteous man's reward.

For He will render to every man according to his works;

Now food does not bring us nearness to God. Neither if we eat do we gain any advantage, nor if we eat not, do we lose any.

For we must all be made manifest, in our true characters, before the Judgment-seat of Christ; so that each one may receive according to that which he has done in his body, whether good or evil.

because you know that whatever good any man does, the same shall he receive from the Lord, whether he be slave or free man.

And since you call upon him as Father, who impartially judges each one according to his deeds, pass the time of your sojourning here in reverence.
