Matthew 19:25

When the disciples heard this they were utterly astounded; they said, "Who then can possibly be saved?"

Had not those days been cut short, not a soul would be saved alive; however, for the sake of the elect, those days will be cut short.

Had not the Lord cut short those days, not a soul would be saved alive; but he has cut them short for the sake of the elect whom he has chosen.

A man said to him, "Is it only a few, sir, who are saved?" So he said to them,

Everyone who invokes the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Well, at the present day there is also a remnant, selected by grace.
