Matthew 20:9

When those who had been hired about five o'clock came, they got a shilling each.

and after agreeing with the labourers to pay them a shilling a day he sent them into his vineyard.

And when he went out at five o'clock he came upon some others who were standing; he said to them, 'Why have you stood doing nothing all the day?'

But the other checked him, saying, "Have you no fear even of God? You are suffering the same punishment as he.

For what does scripture say? Abraham believed God and this was counted to him as righteousness.

Law slipped in to aggravate the trespass; sin increased, but grace surpassed it far,

redounding to the praise of his glorious grace bestowed on us in the Beloved,

For it is by grace you have been saved, as you had faith; it is not your doing but God's gift,

and the grace of our Lord flooded my life along with the faith and love that Christ Jesus inspires.
