Charge the rich in the present life not to be high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God who gives us all things richly to enjoy,

For I have great joy and comfort in your love, because the saints are refreshed by you, brother.

For God is not unjust, to forget your work, and the love which you showed for his name, having served the saints and [still] serving them.

And forget not beneficence and liberality; for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Pure religion and undefiled with the God and Father is this, to visit the orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep one's self unspotted from the world.

Be hospitable one to another, without complaining;

By this we have known love, because he laid down his life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

Thirsty

For I was hungry and you gave me no food; I was thirsty and you gave me no drink;

If therefore your enemy is hungry, give him food; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for doing this you shall heap coals of fire on his head.
