Son of man goeth

How then would the Scriptures be accomplished, that it must be so?

And he said to them, Elijah comes first, and restores all things; as also it is written of the Son of man, That he shall suffer many things, and be set at naught;

And he said to them, O foolish men, and of a mind slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken.

They said, therefore, one to another, Let us not divide this, but cast lots for it whose it shall be; that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, They parted my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots. The soldiers therefore did indeed these things.

For those living at Jerusalem, and their rulers, not knowing him and the words of the prophets which are read every sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning [him];

And according to his custom Paul went in to them, and reasoned with them three sabbaths from the Scriptures,

Having obtained therefore help from God, I have continued to this day, testifying to small and great, saying nothing but what the prophets and Moses said should take place;

And appointing him a day they came in great numbers to his lodging, to whom he set forth and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus both from the law of Moses and the prophets, from morning till evening.

For I delivered to you at first, what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,

inquiring as to what person or what time the Spirit of Christ which was in them signified, when it declared before the sufferings of Christ and after these the glories,
