Matthew 27:52

Treasury of Scripture Knowledge

And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

I declare unto you, the time is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the son of God: and they that hear shall live.

But Christ is actually risen, as previous to those who were dead.

hence it is, that many are weak and sickly among you, and no small number now sleep in their graves.

I shall now tell you a very great secret: we shall not all of us sleep, but we shall all be changed,

for if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, we must believe that God by Jesus will raise the dead, and assemble them with him.

that whether we happen to be alive or dead, we may be secure of living with him.

Immediately the veil of the temple was rent in two, from the top to the bottom.

but he answer'd them, if they should be silent, the stones would exclaim.
