at this they started out, and fled from the sepulchre in a violent consternation, without speaking a word to any by the way: they were so frighted.

While they were thus talking, Jesus himself appear'd in the midst of them, and said to them, peace be with you.

verily, verily I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

and when he had so said, he show'd them his hands and his side. the disciples were therefore extremely glad when they saw it was the Lord.
