The Beatitudes

³ "Those persons who feel a deep sense of their personal need are blessed because the kingdom of heaven belongs to them. ⁴ "Those persons who feel grief [over their sins] are blessed because they will receive comfort [from God when they repent]. ⁵ "Those persons who have a humble attitude [toward themselves] are blessed because they will inherit [the best of] the earth.

James 1:12

The person who perseveres under trials is blessed, because when he has been approved by God, he will receive the crown of [never ending] life, which God has promised to those who love Him.

Revelation 7:14-17

And I answered him, "Sir, [surely] you know." And he said to me, "These are the people who have come through the terrible persecution, and they have washed their robes and made them white with the blood of the Lamb.

Luke 7:38
