Matthew 9:16

No one sews a piece of undressed cloth on an old coat, for the patch breaks away from it, and the tear is made worse:

I have still much to say to you, but you cannot bear it just now.

But I could not discuss things with you, my brothers, as spiritual persons; I had to address you as worldlings, as mere babes in Christ.

Thus 'faith and hope and love last on, these three,' but the greatest of all is love.
