AND a certain Jew by the name of Apollos, an Alexandrian by birth, an eloquent man, came to Ephesus, being powerful in the Scriptures.

And when Apollos was at Corinth, Paul, passing through the higher portions of the country, came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples;

I mean this; that each one of you says I indeed am of Paul, and I of Apollos, and I of Cephas, and I of Christ.

For when one says, I am of Paul, and another, I, of Apollos, are you not men?

But concerning Apollos the brother, I have exhorted him much to come to you with the brothers; but he was entirely indisposed to come now, but he will come when he has a convenient time.

Send forward Zenas the lawyer and Apollos with diligence, and let nothing be wanting to them;

And he wishing to go into Achaia, the brothers sent him, and wrote to the disciples to receive him. And when he came he helped those much who had believed through the grace; for he argued powerfully against the Jews, publicly showing by the Scriptures that Jesus is the Christ.
