Turn away your eyes from Me, for they have overcome Me; your hair is like a flock of goats that appears from Gilead.


In those days Jehovah began to cut Israel short. And Hazael struck them in all the border of Israel, from Jordan toward the rising of the sun, all the land of Gilead, the men of Gad and of Reuben and of Manasseh, from Aroer, by the river Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.

Gilead is a city of trouble-makers, slippery with blood marks.

Is there iniquity in Gilead? Surely they are vanity; they sacrifice bulls in Gilgal. Yes, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields.
