and the Living One; and I was dead; and, behold, I am alive forevermore; and I have the keys of death and of Hades.

And be not afraid of those who kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul; but rather fear Him Who is able to destroy both soul and body in Hell.

And I saw, and behold, a pale horse; and he that sat on him, his name was Death; and Hades was following with him. And there was given to them authority over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with famine, and with death, and by the wild beasts of the earth.

"And you, Capernaum, shall you be exalted to Heaven? You shall go down to Hades; because, if the mighty works which were done in you, had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.

And you, Capernaum, shall you be exalted to Heaven? You shall be thrust down to Hades!

because Thou wilt not leave My soul behind unto Hades; neither wilt Thou give Thy Holy One to see corruption.

And I also say to you, that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My assembly, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

he, foreseeing it, spake concerning the resurrection of Christ, that neither was He left behind unto Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption.

and in Hades, lifting up his eyes, being in torments, he sees Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

And the sea gave up the dead that were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them; and they were judged, every one, according to their works. And Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire.
