By [having] faith, Rahab the prostitute was not destroyed along with the disobedient [inhabitants of Jericho] because she welcomed the [twelve] spies in peace.

And having run forward in advance, he went up in a sycamore-tree in order that he might see Him: because He was about to pass that way. And hastening, he came down, and received Him rejoicing. And all seeing, murmured, saying, that He is come in to abide with a sinner man. And Zaccheus standing, said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any one fraudulently, I restore fourfold. And Jesus said to him, This day salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of man came to seek and to save that which is lost.
