Duties Of The Levites

⁵² And the sons of Israel shall pitch their tents, each man by his own camp, and each man by his own banner, throughout their armies. ⁵³ But the Levites shall pitch around the tabernacle of testimony, so that there may be no wrath upon the congregation of the sons of Israel. And the Levites shall keep the charge of the tabernacle of testimony. ⁵⁴ And the sons of Israel did according to all that Jehovah commanded Moses. So they did.

And Moses said to Aaron, Take a fire-pan, and put fire in it from the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly to the congregation and make an atonement for them. For wrath has gone out from Jehovah. The plague has begun.

Leviticus 10:6

And Moses said to Aaron and to Eleazar and Ithamar his sons, Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, lest you die, and lest He be angry on all the people. But let your brothers, the whole of Israel, mourn the burning which Jehovah has kindled.

1 Chronicles 23:32
